Hi all,
We would like to update you, that Salesforce has announced a security hardening for all Salesforce services (Support for TLS 1.1). Please note, that an upgrade to Sisense 6.5 is required, in order to be compatible with the Salesforce updates.
Starting from early 2017, Salesforce will require the use of TLS 1.1 and higher, in order to login to Salesforce services. For full details see here.
Sisense version 6.5 and later, supports communicating with Salesforce using TLS 1.1. Once Salesforce services blocks access over TLS version 1.0, you will not be able to use Sisense versions lower than 6.5 to import Salesforce data. To ensure uninterrupted service, we recommend you upgrade to Sisense version 6.5, prior to the Saleforce login protocol change. Please consult with your CSM, as to the next steps in upgrading to version 6.5.
Note that Salesforce has not yet announced the final deprecation date, and only state "Early 2017". We nevertheless recommend to upgrade in advance.
Connector Updated to Salesforce API v37.0
Sisense has upgraded the Salesforce connector to support v37.0 of the Salesforce API. Salesforce v37.0 API includes changes to some of the Salesforce tables. Due to this API change, ElastiCube builds may fail. To prevent this, customers may need to refresh the ElastiCube's connectivity settings and table's fields and then, rebuild the ElastiCube’s schema.
