Occasionally an administrator of SiSense would like to disable emails. This post will explain how to do so. If you are in version 5.7 and above, open up SiSense Web as an admin, go to the Manage section, and then click System Configuration. Click edit, and then turn off the button next to 'Send Emails'
Disabling emails will limit the emails that people receive not only when a dashboard is shared with them, but also the scheduled dashboard updates. This can be useful if an administrator wants to limit the emails that are generated for the SiSense community by the contributor users.
Open the file default.yaml located at C:\Program Files\Sisense\PrismWeb\vnext\config
Under the email section, change the line enabled: true to enabled: false
Open the file system.config located at C:\Program Files\Sisense\PrismWeb\App_Data\Configurations
Under the email section, change the line sendEmails: "true" to enabled: "false"
For the changes to be reflected, you will need to perform an IIS reset by opening the command prompt as an admin and type "iisreset".
