This article explains how to add or update proxy server settings in your Sisense server (works as of version 126.96.36.199). This is to allow geo data (used in area and scatter map widgets) to be pulled in from external Sisense servers. Such data may be blocked by your organization’s proxy server.
You can add, update, or delete server proxy settings using the Sisense REST API.
Log into your Sisense web app, and click ADMIN in the top-right corner.
In the left menu, click REST API, and then on the REST API Reference link in the middle of the page.
Expand the relevant sub-section under /settings, and follow these instructions:
Set up proxy server settings
Open the POST / settings/proxy operation, and in the proxyConfig field, copy the following code:
"ip": "<your IP address>",
"port": <your port number>,
Note: If your proxy server requires a username and password, add them as well. If not, you can exclude them from the code.
Click RUN to apply the new settings.
Update proxy server settings
Use the PUT/ settings/proxy operation with the above code, and update just the settings that you need.
Click RUN to update the settings.
Delete proxy server settings
To delete your server proxy settings, use the DELETE/ settings/proxy operation.
Click RUN to delete all settings.
