    Hi Albert,

Are you trying to bring in data from another ElastiCube (https://documentation.sisense.com/connecting-to-sisense-elasticubes/) and having this issue? Or something else?

    Hi Sam,

    Happy New Year!

Yes we're loading in data from another Elasticube on our server and are having this issue.

    Best,

    Albert

    Hi Albert,

Thanks for confirming. As the article mentions, using this connector with SSL is not currently available. There are a few workarounds, including opening a non-redirected http binding in IIS, using our ODBC driver which does support SSL (https://documentation.sisense.com/sisense-odbc/), or creating a custom REST connector to import the data (https://developer.sisense.com/display/API2/Custom+REST+Connector).

    Hi All,

We ran into this issue when attempting to upgrade as well - we ended up configuring our environment with an HTTPS-terminating reverse proxy and running locally. Happy to upload additional details if they are helpful to folks; the super short version is:

    • Run Sisense locally on 8081 (or the port of your choice) with SSL disabled. Make sure this port is not accessible from outside the server.
    • Set up your reverse proxy on a separate website from SisenseWeb. Make sure that you are only capturing traffic from outside your server (I did this by setting the binding to match my domain name). You do not want to capture the local traffic that the various Sisense services send to each other (You will see a 404 from JAQL with "api not found" if you forget this part).
    • So far we have this deploy in our test environment and are continuing with regression. Will update this if we learn more or if I can answer any questions about config.

As a side note, this would have been REALLY USEFUL to include in the release notes.

    Cheers,

    Michael
