    Hi Michael,

I have created a sample table:-

create table checkdate(ar_date date, ar_amount int)
    insert checkdate select '2017-12-01',2000
    insert checkdate select '2017-11-01',3000
    insert checkdate select '2017-10-01',4000
    insert checkdate select '2017-09-01',5000

and I need data like below query:-

    select max(ar_date),sum(ar_amount) from checkdate

I placed the plugin but the report is showing something else as attached.
Please help me out on this.

    Regards,
    Ganesh

    HI ganesh:

The Value representing the date must be in a very specific format.

    YYYYMMDDHHMMSS

The example in the instructions above (step 2) convert a sisense date/time stamp in a custom field into the format required by the Plugin.

If you're format is like this:

    'YYYY-MM-DD'

Use this function to convert to the format expected by the Plugin as a custom field.

    10000000000 * toint(StrParts([Date],'-',1)) + 100000000 * toint(StrParts([Date],'-',2)) + toint(StrParts([Date],'-',3))*1000000

    Hi,

Just to let you know that I had a problem after installing this plugin. The problem happened  when I was trying to download some dashboards in pdf (that aren't using this plugin).

It was the only thing that I installed, and immediately after uninstalling it everything worked fine.

(on the dashboards that were giving me problems, there is a script to transform seconds in hh:mm:ss)

    Hi,

I'm using the latest one, 6.6.0.10327.

On another dashboard I was trying to see if I could use it to extract the oldest date in a pivot, but on the dashboards that were giving me problem I didn't touch anything, and as I wrote before, immediately after removing it from the plugins folder everything restarted to work

    Hi Ramon,

Thank you for this plugin. It has been quite useful for my analysis. Here's a scenario I'm trying to resolve:

My scripting skills are almost non-existent so I don't know how to modify your script for minute difference (MnDIFF). When I use the 'Seconds to Duration' options, the MM:SS (for example) is indicated as HH:MM , which is incorrect. See below:

Alternatively, I could use SDIFF and use the MM:SS option and get the appropriate numerical result. However, I'm slightly anal about visualizing and with using the Gauge design, the indicator still assumes seconds instead of minutes. See below (notice the needle going beyond 100):

Between these two scenarios above, I feel like the easier solution is to modify the script for MnDiff so the 'Seconds to Duration' options are consistent.

    Please help.

    Hi Ayanda:

I have correct MM:SS and also included support to automatically format the min/max on the gauge based on time format selected.

Please test it out and let me know if it helps.

    Thanks

    Ramon

    Hi Ramon,

It's still not working. I removed the plugin and re-downloaded it. I wonder if there is any additional step I missed.

    Thanks,

    Ayanda

    Hi Ayanda-

Please try refreshing your webpage a few times first (and/or clearing cached images/files in your browser) .  I just re-tested and the min/max format should be updating.

    thanks

    Still no change, my friend

I re-downloaded the plugin, restarted the web server and cleared all browser history. Is there something I might be missing?

    Thanks,

    Ayanda

    Hi Ramon,

Thank you for the plugin. It's been really useful.

Somehow the plugin stopped working and is now displaying dates in this manner, no matter what the chosen format is.

I tried reinstalling it and turning off all other plugins but am still getting the same result.

Also, I get this error in the developer console:

TypeError: Cannot read property 'data' of undefined

    Best,

    Mohamed

    Hi Mohamed:

    What version are you using?

What time/date format are you selecting?

Will do some testing and fix as needed in the short term.

    Thanks,
    Ramon

    Hi Ramon,

Thank you for your prompt response.

    We're on version 6.7.0.12010.

I used the formula you provided to transform the date-timestamp to an integer and saved it as a BigInt on sisense. I also tried using Float, Real, and Decimal but none solved the issue.

    Best,

    Mohamed

Ramon - Great plugin! I added a "data last updated on" widget at the top of a dashboard and shows in dashboard and PDF output.

    In dashboard:

    In PDF:

But when I go to the subscription setup and click "send me a report now" I get a Dashboard Reporting Error email. It doesn't matter if I send the data in the email body or as a PDF. When I turn off the plugin the emailing works, but of course the date displays as a number. Any ideas? My Sisense version is 6.7.1.10043 and the plugin page says version 2.7 of the formattedTime plugin.

@ Paul LoSacco-  I've tested & got the same results as you.  At the moment this plugin will not export properly to PDF.  Will be working with our developers to see if i can get this fixed.

@ Talking Data training - this dashboard does not currently exist.  Please let me know what questions you might have when trying to use this plugin and glad to assist.

    Thanks!

    Very cool plugin. Thanks!

Which widgets does it work on ?

I tried applying the formatting to a pivot value, but did not have the option ?

Hi Tony, if you are trying to work with a pivot widget, this is the plugin that you need to use:

Thanks, but as it involves scripting its not for us, as the designers do not have those abilities!

    Hi Ramon,

Is the min and max suppose to work on version 6.7 ? It's not working for me. Is is changing the indicator value to MM:SS but not the min/max. Thanks !

    Hi Hugo

It's possible some of the api endpoints in our indicator changed requiring adjustment on the plugin - will take a look and update shortly.

Regarding PDF- please note this plugin won't work on PDF subcscription emails.  Working with RnD to see if this can be resolved.

    Thanks

    Ramon
