    Hi Umar,

Could you please provide more information and if possible a screenshot to help us better understand your use case?

What grid are you referring to?

    Thanks,

    Oxana

    Hi,

As per below link , I am unable to view the correct query by using following command in Console.

    For SQL:
    prism.debugging.GetSql(prism.activeWidget)

    https://support.sisense.com/hc/en-us/articles/230651608-Viewing-Underlying-SQL-and-JAQL-Queries

2nd thing is , edit script is not working.see attached Image.

click the Edit Script In this image.

error image, I did not view/edit SQL script here.

    Thanks,

    Umar

    Hi Umar,

Please make sure that you are not using the widget script instead of the Developer Tools.

Note that you don't need to "Edit Script" in your widget, but "Edit Widget" and then continue to Developer Tools steps 2 and 3:

Step 2 - "Go to you browser's Options menu, and open the Developer tools. In Chrome (see below) it is under More tools --> Developer tools."

    img_2.png

"Step 3 - In the Developers tool window select the Console tab and type in your command at the prompt."

To your second question: what you are seeing is not an error. This is a default "note" in all widgets and doesn't run any scripts. You can either replace it or leave it as is and add your own script to it.

    Hope it helps.

    Thanks,

    Oxana

Thanks for the understanding of Edit Widget. it not related to me.

but under console the following command did not show me readable query. ( see yellow highlighted area difficult to read the SQL query )
    prism.debugging.GetSql(prism.activeWidget)

Any better option for view SQL Query?

    Thanks,

    Umar Iftikhar

    Hi Umar,

That is the correct SQL query, but it's what's used internally by Sisense in accordance with Sisense's architecture, so it is typically not easy to read. The JAQL query should be more readable but obviously is a JSON object rather than a SQL query.

    Thanks,

    Sam

The article linked no longer exists. The GetSql call now fails.

    prism.debugging.GetJaql(prism.activeWidget)  still works
