Copying Data from a Pivot Table Widget to Excel
Download: Pivot to Excel
This topic describes how to copy your Pivot table data to an Excel sheet, while preserving the same layout, formatting, and subtotals as the original widget in the dashboard. The procedure requires installing a plugin.
- Download the attached zip file and extract the contents to C:\Program Files\Sisense\PrismWeb\plugins. If you are using version 7.2 and higher unzip the contents into your C:\Program Files\Sisense\app\plugins\ folder. Create the plugins folder if necessary.
- From the widget's menu in the dashboard, click Copy Data to Clipboard.
- Press CTRL+C to copy to clipboard.
- Paste the copied to data in your Excel sheet.
Note: Only the visible data is copied. If you have paging, then increase the number of rows per page according to your needs.

Hello Ding, Gareth,
Please make sure you have extracted the plugin's files under just one level of the PivotCopy folder in C:\Program Files\Sisense\PrismWeb\plugins.
i.e: C:\Program Files\Sisense\PrismWeb\plugins\PivotCopy instead of C:\Program Files\Sisense\PrismWeb\plugins\PivotCopy\PivotCopy
Regards,
Lian.

Was really excited for a second until I realized it only works for what is visible not all the data. We really need an export to excel feature that just maintains the pivot structure. Our customer keep asking and its hard to say we can do all this great stuff but not a simple export to Excel.
Hope its on your road map!

Thanks!

"...increase the number of rows per page according to your needs."
That works up to 200 rows. After that, the pivot widget appears to have a built-in limit of 200. Is there a way to increase this, so we can fit more rows on a page when we expect to need a full export to Excel with formatting?

Hi, I managed to install the plugin, it seems t obe working but I am a bit confused about the result.
1) Excel regularly crashes when pasting the data, and when it does not, the format is less pleasant than in the dashboard (for instance it is in font type 6pts ...)
2) Useful elements are not displayed in Excel
- databars
- images in the pivot widget
The most important point here are the images. Our customer needs to have an offline copy of the widgets for negotiating purchase, and images are very important given the number of references they manage. Do y ou have a solution ? I tried a pdf printing but it only prints tha first part of the widget (pivot, even only first page, is not printed on several pages), I tried a download image of the widget, but it is a similar problem (I only have the part of the pivot widget that fits into the screen).
Any Idea how I can get a 200 pivot widget with images (so large lines) available offline ???
Thanks for you help.
