Table Widget with Aggregation

    Adding this plugin in 5.8.1.29 appears to have a side effect where regular Table widget columns no longer sort.  The Aggregate Tables widgets can sort, but not regular Table widgets.

    Just having the plugin installed introduces the side effect, even without a Table with Aggregate on a dashboard.

    Removing the plugin gets regular Table widgets working again.

    is this side effect still ongoing or has this been resolved i am currently using  Version 5.8.0.1253

    This plugin appears to have better control over it layout appearance than the pivot table. Is it possible to have grand totals and sub totals in any way? I also noticed that the dashboard filters seem disabled in this as well. Is that expected behaviour? I,m using Sisense v6.0

    Does not function correctly in v6.4.  You can add dashboard calc columns, but they all return 0 or null.  Also, breaks the PDF export.

    Does work correctly in v6.4.  User error.  Sorry.  However the PDF is broken.  See attached screen shot of error.

    Have Totals and Subtotals been added to this plug-in or is there another way to get them with a table widget?  Thanks.

    @jim - the error looks like coming from widget script, do you have widget script on one of the widgets on that dashboard?

    sub totals are currently not supported, we'll review the feature of adding sub-total.

    Avi,

    There is a formatting script on the widget that was provided by Sisense.  I removed it, but there are still no ability to select totals on any column.

    Thanks, Jim

    @jim - as i mentioned sub-total is not supported.

    I was referring to the PDF export error msg, once you removed the widget script did it solve the PDF export issue?

    Avi,

    Oleg fixed the issue with the script some time ago on a ticket.  PDF export works now.  Sorry for the confusion.

    Would also love a fix on this to enable exporting dashboard to PDF/Image when it contains a table with agg. widget. Thanks!

    Hi Michael,

    A few customers have reported this issue, and it has been logged with our developers to resolve. It is still open as of 6.6.1 Hotfix 2.

    Thanks,

    Sam

    Hi Sam,

    Was the plugin updated on the Sisense add-ons page ? Because I download the plugin and the PDF is not working (on version 6.6.1).

    Thanks,

    Hugo

    Hi Hugo,

    We'll update the file on the add-ons page asap. In the meantime you can download it from the Plugins List  in the community (Direct Download link).

    Thanks,

    Oxana

    This widget suddenly stopped working for me.  It fails to load anything on the screen, but I can still download what it would display as a CSV. We haven't changed anything for a while.  Any thoughts?

    I am not able to see this widget. I have downloaded the latest plugin from https://www.sisense.com/product/analyze/add-ons/, I restarted the webserver and I can see the table widget but not the table widget with aggregation.

    Here is the downloaded file's plugin.json:

    {
    "name": "tableWidget",
    "source": [
    "resources/libs/tableWidget-datatables.js",
    "directives/directive.js",
    "directives/style/borders.js",
    "controllers/style/controller.js",
    "factories/editorStyleFactory.js",
    "services/dataService.js",
    "services/sortingService.js",
    "widget.js"
    ],
    "style": [
    "styles/widget.css"
    ],
    "lastUpdate": "2018-03-05T11:37:47.353Z",
    "folderName": "tableWidget",
    "isEnabled": false,
    "version": "0"
    }

    If I scroll through the available widget's all I see is the table widget:

    Jim,

    Just a thought but maybe change:

    "isEnabled": false

    to

    "isEnabled": true

    Any chance of getting subtotals and totals into this widget?  Those functions exist in the pivot table, but unfortunately the pivot table doesn't always sort in logical ways (of course this is largely dependent on your particular use case).

    Thanks!

    I second Jeremy's request. That is vital functionality for this widget type and pivots don't work well for a majority of our use cases.

    This is not working for me in 7.2.1 version. Any updated plugin available for 7.2.1 version?

    Hi All,

    I tried the plugin on Version: 7.2.1.13003 and it seems to work. Can you please make sure the plugin is enabled via admin panel or in plugin.json?

    I also encourage you to open a ticket with our support team, they will be able to assist with initial troubleshooting.

    Hi

    Is it possible to modify the  JumpTo plugin to work with the Table with Aggregation ?

    Hi An Y,

    Currently JTD does not support tables. We do have it in out backlog but no timeline for it.

    We would also benefit from supporting tables or aggregated tables in the JTD plugin! Pivot tables provide very limited sorting functionality, so our users typically find them confusing. We try to avoid using them, but obviously it's the only table type that works with jump to dashboards, so we usually have to find a workaround way to represent the data.
