Change text type to variant type

    I haven't tried this, but based on other products I've used, what if you use 0 and 1?

    That does work in this instance, and it converts the field to a number.  Why does the field not convert for type Variant?

    Are you meaning, why not Boolean?  You would only need a variant type if you were storing different types of values correct?

    That's an even better question.  I was asking about variant because of this error I received: 

    "Failed to create table 'Fact GP Product'.  Data type mismatch for the column, 'Fact GP Product.Dropship', of type 'Text'. Column must be of type 'Variant'"

    It is also worth mentioning that the table is set to recalculate, all the data is fresh each time

    That's a new one for me. I would try to remove that table and add it back. It sounds to me like the metadata is out of sync. If that doesn't work, I'd put in a ticket and have the support team help determine what is going on.

    why not create a new column on Item Master table of type boolean with this logic?
