    Thank you for the suggestion Michael. I used that method to add a Total column to the pivot table. Do you know if its possible to remove it from the section marked 1/2018? I would just like to have one total column at the end of the table.

    If you're using a split by Columns in your pivot, then all the formulas you define in the Values part will be split also according to the Column split. If your goal is just to have a grand total over the selected months for your 'Units' formula, you can select that from the menu in the Columns field:

     

     

    Or is there more going on that I'm not getting from your question?
