Hello Ed,
Thank you for the feedback! With regards to your issue, would you be able to provide some additional info? Are you using a specific level of a date field (i.e. Days, Weeks, Years, etc.) as the dimension to filter on, or is it an issue with any level? Would you be able to attach a screenshot of the issue you are seeing?
Also, what version of Sisense are you currently using?

Hi Ed,
Thanks for letting us know. We've fixed the issue you reported in v0.3.0: https://github.com/WiserSolutions/WiserFilterWidget/releases/tag/v0.3.0

Thank you Wiser!
I downloaded the new version and implemented the plugin, the background of the drop down is fixed! However, now the menu seems like it is centered to the drop down. If the widget is at the top of the dashboard, the top of the drop down menu gets cut off because it exceeds the page.
Best Regards,
-Ed

Hello Ed,
Apologies for the lack of response. We have actually addressed the issue a few months ago, but unfortunately neglected to package a formal release of it. If you go to our GitHub repository and download the latest release (version 0.4.0), it should address the issue (and apply some other stylistic changes). Thanks for using our plugin and please continue to provide us with feedback!

Hello Unified Insights,
Thanks for letting us know about the issue. Keeping a fixed width was partially done on purpose to better align with some of our other plugins. However we will let our Product team know about it to put it on their radar. If you could, please create a new Issue here so that we can be sure to keep track of this (and notify you on any updates):
https://github.com/WiserSolutions/WiserFilterWidget/issuesThanks again for providing feedback!

Hello Sunil B. Sorry for the late response. Regarding your question on the timestamp issue, are you able to edit the format of the timestamp field within the designer panel to a format that you prefer (seen below)? We also have plans of open sourcing another plugin which should provide a better experience (no explicit ETA, but hopefully soonish).
Regarding your other question, that's an interesting suggestion. We will need to see if that's something that can be done in a custom plugin. Regardless, I have notified the Product Owner for this of the suggestion and have put it through our normal process to have the enhancement it considered.

Hi
When i work with date filters the filter doesn't work as expected. I have created a date filter for month and year using wiser filter.
Now when the value is selected to all it shows the value but when i selected individual month it doesnt show any thing in my indicater widget. I found that in my dashboard filter it shows default value as year and when i manually make it to month & year then the filter is working fine.
Is there any solution for it without doing it manually.

Hello Everyone,
Thank you for commenting and reporting issues with the Wiser Filter Widget. Our very small development team has been focused on issues that are core to growing our business, and as such have not been able to work on the feedback and issues reported, mostly due to them being things that either aren’t relevant to our users or have not caused issues in our installation. We value Open Source, and are proud to be able to contribute our code wherever we are able to, but also need to balance that against developing new features for our customers.
In that spirit, we would like to draw your attention to the Open Source code released on GitHub (https://github.com/WiserSolutions/WiserFilterWidget ). We intend to continue to make updates and address issues and features that affect our users and push those to GitHub, and would encourage the broader community contribute to the codebase as well. We are still pondering criteria for evaluating contributions and adding additional contributors, but will consider any and all PRs to start. The existing issues that have been reported might be a good place to start if you would like to start contributing. Going forward, we have decided to:
- Monitor issues & questions in GitHub (please report issues there vs this forum)
- Commit to answer coding related questions from the community related to how to develop new features / fix bugs
- Respond to, evaluate for inclusion and merge Pull Requests from the community, and publish new releases as needed
As mentioned above, we are thrilled that the community has found value in our codebase, and we hope to continue to give back. We also hope to foster further community engagement via the GitHub repository, and are excited to see your contributions!

Hi Wiser Team,
I figured out that the issue Heather, Louisa, and Andrew are facing is due to a dependent filter in the dashboard. When I removed the dependent filter the plugin worked as expected. Maybe your team can fix this issue, apart from that the plugin is awesome.

Hi Ari Frankel and the rest of the bunch.
First, you should know that there is also away to define dropdown filter using a BloX widget. Sometimes its a better choice.
You can read further on how to this in this post
Other than that, we've recently launched to the marketplace a new plugin named AdvancedFilters plugin.
From its name you can assume that it holds alll of the requirements you can think of.
Among its features:
- Multiple drpdowns within a single widget in any layout you'de like them to be.
- Option to decide if to use an Apply button or not + option to easily change the presented text.
- Abilty to choose multy selection vs single selection.
- Quick on the fly Search & Select with virtual scrolling included to support drop down with a large values selection.
- Our own propierty developed dependet feature mechnisim that unlocks many advacned options that can't be achieved with the out of the box dependent filters (like the option to select multiple children to the same dimension).
- Date fields can be used as normal categorical fields or as a nicely looking Date Range selection
General Notes about our plugins
- Price include support, maintenance and feature release from time to time (we constantly aim to collect feedbacks and enrich our plugins with more usage opportunities)
- All our plugins are officially supported for both windows and linux for all Sisense versions that were released within the last 12 months.- You can (and should) have a trial version before you decide to purchase to make sure that everything is working properly on your instance.
Feel free to reach out if you have any questions on how to implement the BloX filter or when you should use what.
Good luck (:
