New Feature : Option to restrain a Table from updating field values during a Build

HI ,

 

I would like to suggest a new and useful feature whereby a Table can be restrained from updating its field values during a Build. In my case this would be very useful when I need to maintain the End Of Month values in a fact table.

  This feature would also be useful, when changing data in cubes with lots of big tables. Say a table has 5M rows, and another has 5 - if you change data in the 5 row table and build all then those 5M rows have to be pulled from the DB again, much better to be able to freeze tables as you suggest, and also works for month end, year end etc
