The purpose of the plugin is to provide a colorful visualization to represent data sets that have several points and can be grouped into categories. I have created this simple streamgraph, which is based on Highcharts - Streamgraph.
The streamgraph has several use cases and is similar to a stacked area chart. The chart could be used to represent data sets with three parameters.
INPUT PARAMETERS AND DESIGN OPTIONS
The vector plot widget requires 3 parameters. These parameters, in order, are:
- Categories (text)
- NameLabel (text)
- DataLabel (number)
The data should be arranged so that records with the same NameLabel are grouped together. The chart has a simple Design, consisting of Gridlines and Series labels. When turned 'On', the Gridlines label displays lines across the widget as well as an arbitrary numerical scale, and the Series label displays the legend on the top of the chart.
The Widget Filters can be used to filter by Categories and NameLabel.
Step 1 - Add The Plugin
- Download the attachment and unzip the contents into your C:\Program Files\Sisense\PrismWeb\plugins\ folder (Version: 18.104.22.16801). If the plugins folder doesn't exist, just create it. After those files have been unzipped there, you may also have to restart the web server. Now, when you create a new widget the Vector Plot Widget should show up in the list of options
Step 2 - Create The Chart
On your dashboard, click the Create Widget button and select Advanced Configuration. Next, select the "Vector Plot Widget" plugin from the drop down list.
