Turn Off Non-Blocking Accumulative Builds
The default behavior of the Elasicube is to allow dashboard users to query ElastiCubes during Accumulative builds as to not interrupt user interaction with the Dashboards.
This has an implication on disk space as the Elasticube with create a copy of the current Elasticube before the build process, which means that the Sisense Server would need twice as much space to be allocated at all times.
If you are managing a very large Elasticube this might be an issue on disk resource, and as well as additional build time for initial backup of the Elasticube.
Turning off Non-Blocking Accumulative build is simple :
- Just navigate to C:\ProgramData\Sisense\PrismServer directory
- Open the ElastiCubeConfiguration.xml
- Change the AccumulativeBuildMode key to "BlockingMode", see below
- PLEASE NOT that this will apply to all Elasticube on the Sisense server. In order to change this feature to a specific Elasticube, open the ElastiCubeConfiguration.xml that exist within the specific Elasticube data folder (i.e. C:\ProgramData\Sisense\PrismServer\ElastiCubeData\{Elasticube Folder}
