With the exciting release of Sisense 7.2 came Live Models!
However, currently Hours/Minutes/Seconds are not supported on this version.
You can use UNIX Timestamps as a temporary workaround - you do this by creating a view or new column on your data source's table: (we recommend a view)
This is powerful to see trends on streaming data!
Step 1: (SQL Server Example)
Create a function in the database for the UNIX conversion,
CREATE FUNCTION dbo.DTtoUnixTS
DECLARE @diff BIGINT
IF @dt >= '20380119'
SET @diff = CONVERT(BIGINT, DATEDIFF_BIG(S, '19700101', '20380119'))
+ CONVERT(BIGINT, DATEDIFF_BIG(S, '20380119', @dt))
SET @diff = DATEDIFF_BIG(S, '19700101', @dt)
Create a view and add a column using the function
SELECT [Beach Name], [Measurement Timestamp], [Water Temperature], Turbidity, [Transducer Depth], [Wave Height], [Wave Period], [Battery Life], [Measurement Timestamp Label], [Measurement ID],
dbo.DTtoUnixTS([Measurement Timestamp]) AS Unix_Timestamp
FROM dbo.[beach-water-quality-automated-sensors-1] AS a
Create a Live Model and connect to the View with the UNIX timestamp
Live model with Day level: (default)
Live model with Unix: (new column used to see trends by hours/minutes/seconds)
