You have to right clikc on [ISSUE_YEAR], and click on filter and then select 2017.

You have to have this in formula - (sum([Total RI_PREMIUM]),[ISSUE_YEAR]), and after that right click on [ISSUE_YEAR] i nthe formula and then FIlter and set 2017.

I do not fully understand what you are trying to do, but why are you doing filter on the measure?

Your category already contains ISSUE_YEAR. Put a filter on that (like you have already done on the right hand side). Filter on 2016 and 2017 and your graph will show the revenue of those years.

If you want to combine the revenue of both years, then I do not think you can use the ISSUE_YEAR as category. You will have to choose a different category (for example something like region or product)

yes when i apply filter on category then this worked fine.. but i want to apply issue filter on measure instead on category? is this possible ? and one thing more how i create variables on sisense?

It is possible. But now you have the same variable in the measure and in the category. I dont think its possible like that. You will need to change one or the other for a measured value to succeed.

You can "create" variables in SiSense. Best way to do this is in the ECM. (Creating actual new records is not possible). In the front-end you can create new variables by using the formula. This is only possible for creating new numbered values and not text values

What are you trying to achieve ? If you could make a sketch or an example that would clearify things alot.

I would not recommend using the same variable in categories and using it in a measured value.

So if you want to combine the revenue of 2016 and 2017 (so 2016+2017) then I would suggest using a different category and then apply the measured value like you did*

If you only want to see 2016 and 2017 (separately) then do not use the measured value and use the filter on the category.

    * You could also choose a different category and add the year to the breakdown. Apply filter (like normal) on 2016 and 2017 and in the design panel go for Stacked design.

i just want to get amount on the the behalf of filter

like i want to apply filter on measure not on category.. like in qliksense i do this

    Sum({<ISSUE_YEAR = {$(vPrev_Year)}>}PRO_PREM)

now same i want to do in si sense ... i want to apply filter issue year on measure not on category

I have no experience with QlikSense so I cannot comment on that.

You can apply a filter on the measure, but then you cannot use that variable as a category. It would also make no sense to do that. So you will need to choose a different category-variable to achieve what you want

Same. If you want to use ISSUE_YEAR as measured filter then you cannot use that field as column name. You need to choose a different field as column name
