Moving dashboards to another folder
Why am I not able to move newly built dashboards to specific folders with the drag and drop feature? I understand there may be space constraints limiting the number of individual dashboards within one folder but this is clearly not the case with us. I have searched online and in the Community forum but no one else seems to have this problem which is all the more puzzling!
Can someone please help diagnose this problem because it is beginning to cause issues and no amount of trying seems to solve the problem. We are using Sisense version 7.1.2.11001 with Chrome and have tried refreshing, republishing, and also restarting the Sisense server without success.
It would be helpful if there was a Move feature in the right click menu of each dashboard near it's name together with the current Duplicate, Download, and Restore commands.

Are you moving dashboards that have been shared with you to a folder with dashboards where you are the owner (or visa versa)?
If you are, it makes sense why you are not able to do this - shared dashboards are shared with their folder path and cannot be combined with non-shared folders.

Thank you for your quick response Kathryn.
I am trying to move a dashboard owned by me (an admin user) to a folder that is owned by our system admin. All the dashboards involved are shared with other users.
I also tried to move this same dashboard owned by me (and shared with others) to a folder containing dashboards, all owned by me and containing some shared dashboards, and I was not able to do that either.

Yes Michal, in the second case, the entire folder and all the dashboards were created by me and I still can't move the new dashboard into that folder. I tried looking online to see if there was a limit as to how many dashboards could be in one folder but I was not very successful and, besides, we have other folders with more dashboards within them.
I changed ownership of my newly created dashboard from me to our system admin and then tried to move it into the folder owned by him and I can't do that either but perhaps only he can.
There is obviously a need for this requirement about moving dashboards into folders but I wish that could be changed!

I'm wondering about this too. I had created a folder and then moved a dashboard that I created into it, when suddenly Sisense stopped working for me. When I was able to get back in the folder was gone. The dashboard appeared to be missing at first as well, but I was able to locate it on the Analytics page in the list of All or Created by Me dashboards. I see no way of moving this dashboard back into the main list or a new folder now.
