Pie Chart Ungroup Others

    Hi Jessica,

    The others tab is used when there are too many categories to properly explicitly display all of them in a pie chart. Would it be possible to filter out the N\A or some of the categories grouped within 'Others' for this use case?

    Cheers,

    Andy

    Hi Andy,

    Unfortunately, we cannot filter out the 'N/A', we need it keep so all of the %s make sense. We are just looking to see all of the numbers and the % of total they compromise (including N/A).

    Consider using a Sunburst widget instead; that doesn't group data and looks a little like a donut-formatted Piechart

    There is also a plugin + script option for this. The plugin is called: ChangeHighchartsSettings

    Ontop of that, the pie chart auto groups slices into the other that are less than 3% of the total. With the plugin and a widget script, you can default the minimum slice to something other than 3%.

    //Change the minimum % number
    var min_value = 1

    //Don't change
    widget.on("initialized",function(){
    prism.changeDefaultSettingsForPieChart(widget, {pieMinimumSliceAngle: min_value, pieMinNumOfSlicesToActivateOthers: 5});
    });

    Here is the google drive link to the plugin:

    Thanks all! Unfortunately, we are avoiding adding unsupported plugins to our system.

    This really should be an option within Sisense but I will look into the Sunburst suggestion!

    Hi all,

    Do you know if the plugin+script solution affects all the pie charts in Sisense, or just for the specific widget?

    If it affects all Sisense, is it possible to  create a script that affects a specific widget? :)

    Thanks in advance!!

    Hi Elliot. Could you please provide access to the "ChangeHighchartsSettings" plugin on Google drive? A few folks from my group have sent requests for access because we're very interested in the ungrouping feature. Thank you!

    Hey Laura,

    I just granted access to a bunch of people that I believe are on your team as well. Let me know if you can't download.

    Thanks, Elliott (and sorry for the misspelling in my first post)! We are good to go.
