Google Analytics "Users" Discrepancy
I'm using the Sisense GA connector and when I am checking data in the Sisense dashboard against source GA data, I'm coming up with discrepancies, as it relates to any "user" associated metrics.
When I'm pulling in data from the "Traffic, Monthly Report" all metrics match the source exactly (users, new users, sessions, pageviews, etc.).
But, when I use another table Traffic by Keyword, Monthly Report", there is no "users" metric. I followed the Sisense documentation on how to add additional metrics:
https://documentation.sisense.com/latest/managing-data/connectors/custom-google-tables.htm#gsc.tab=0
So, now I do have the user metric, but the "users" related data doesn't match the source data. Everything related to sessions, pageviews, bounce rate, etc. is correct, because they aren't tied to "users". But, anything tied to "users" is skewed.
I'm thinking it due to the fact that the "users" metric in the Traffic, Monthly report is tied to unique client ids, whereas the users metric I recently added isn't. This is why there will be more users than I see in the source data.
Has anyone come across this problem and if so, how were you able to resolve?
