Curious to know if we can use REGEX in our custom column development. For example, I want to create a CASE statement to parse values differently when certain criteria are met.
WHEN StrParts([owner], ' ', 3) LIKE '[A-Z]' THEN 'single letter'
ELSE 'more than 1'
I read this blog post (https://www.sisense.com/blog/string-parsing-in-sql/) but the ~ operator didn't work in a CASE statement.
I have read other non-Sisense documentation (https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sql/t-sql/language-elements/like-transact-sql?view=sql-server-ver15) that describes using [A-Z], but in Sisense the CASE statement doesn't return the results as expected. It doesn't seem to recognize all letters A-Z, I have to feed in individual LIKE statements for every letter of the alphabet.
Anyone have some insight/experience using REGEX in here?
