Dashboard Folder Sharing
My team envisioned the folders as a way to group dashboards by their respective departments. However, in the current version, 1 designer cannot put a new dashboard into a folder created by another designer. Here lies our problem: Designer #1 has made department folders but Designer #2 and #3, also have things they would like to add to those folders. They are unable to add to those folders because they didn't create them so now our customers have to sift through three different folder systems to find the dashboards they want (ex. Marketing folder, Marketing folder #2, Marketing folder #3). I can understand restricting changes to a dashboard that was created by another designer but it seems a little odd that the folder system is not natively shared.

Hi Shana Hickey
This behavior is by design from Sisense, what you could do is transfer the ownership of these various dashboards between designers 1,2 & 3 sot hey can place the dashboards into the required folders respectively.
With that, we have a plugin which enables one to manage, share and change owenrship of entire folders, in bulk, preventing one from doing it dashboard by dashboard,
Let me know if this is something you would like to demo and trial,
Feel free to reach out,
Ido

There are definitely pros & cons to the current folder restrictions described here. It would be great to have the option when creating a folder to make it "privately owned" (i.e. only the folder owner can add to the folder) or "publicly owned" (i.e. anyone can add / subtract from the folder).

Indeed, this is pretty important if we want to use it as a BI Tool at Company Level.
At least here in my company, we have other BI Tools being used, and all of them present this kind of function (native).I wish Sisense have an answer about it since it is almost a month since you mentioned it and still no answer.
