Some steps in the Sisense support documentation vary depending on whether the Sisense instance you are working with is running on Windows or Linux.

These steps are how you can check:
  1. Log into your Sisense instance
  2. Click on the person icon in the top right hand corner
  3. See what the "Version" field says in the resulting card
Example 1: Below is an example of a Linux environment - the "L" at the start of the version indicates it is a Linux instance.

Example 2: Below is an example of a Windows environment - Windows environments starting in 2021 will start with a "20." at the start of the version. We know it is a Windows environment because it does not have an "L" at the start of the version.

Example 3: Below is an example of a Windows environment prior to 2021. We know it is a Windows environment because it does not have an "L" at the start of the version.
